the coating is thick the sticks are reasonable sturdy. i don't understand the wood thing. i use an old ice cube tray under the wood thing because that's what i had. no ashes fall on the table. |

As usual, I'm never disappointed in HEM incense sticks, some I don't like ,but they still smell great. It's just personal preference. |
